OK. You gotta see this. I was doubtful when the video came up and it was from Lily’s POV, the last thing I wanted was a “day in the life of” type music clip but trust me it’s a silly, funny, creative and audacious 3 minutes and 31 seconds that fits the song perfectly. Bear with it until the first chorus when Lily makes all the world her personal iPhone app. I especially love the pedestrian bridge scene.
Just picked up Lily Allen’s new album It’s Not Me, It’s You. It’s kind of fucking brilliant. On one level it’s the sounds of a reformed party girl settling down, making ammends and working her way painfully through the 12 step program and yet, the more you listen to the “serious tracks” like “Everyone’s At It” and “Back to the Start” the more you start to hear the cheeky wit and sarcasm of a 22 year old girl who truly believes “It’s not Her, It’s You.”
Fuck yes. 1st single from Lily Allen’s forthcoming second album It’s Not Me, It’s You. I’m loving the Marie Antoinette vibe. Clever girl.
