Why Can’t I Quit You?
Heroes, halfway through its third season, is becoming unwatchable. So why can’t I stop watching?
It’s become apparent that Heroes is broken, irreparably so. The writing is inconsistent beyond just the gaping plot holes which seem to get patched only as the audience falls through them and the body count becomes too large to ignore. Characters behave in stupid, convenient ways serving the script whenever and wherever necessary so much so that Heroes can no longer hide its arbitrary soap opera trappings behind the super powers.
Yet I’m still watching and I couldn’t tell you why. Hope? Self Hatred? Schattenfreude?
